TECRE is implementing the Circular Battery Economy™ in phases. The first phase focuses on establishing the Green Zone™ at the G8 Communities of the Caño Martín Peña, creating the battery reconditioning and workforce development center. The Yellow Zone™ will follow in the second phase through collaborations with Northeastern University and local Puerto Rican universities, where community energy storage technologies will continue to be developed and expanded. Every donation supports TECRE’s mission. The options below allow you to learn how each area contributes to Puerto Rico’s Circular Battery Economy™ before choosing where to give.

Green Zone™ – Phase 1:  Help establish Puerto Rico’s Green Zone™: A profitable battery reconditioning enterprise which will create skilled jobs and supply repurposed modules for the Yellow Zone™.

Yellow Zone™ – Phase 2: Support this phase where retired battery modules are repurposed into affordable backup power systems which will serve the G-8 communities of the Caño Martín Peña.

Research — Support the research that drives the Circular Battery Economy™ forward through Northeastern University and local Puerto Rican Universities.

General Fund — Supports TECRE’s highest-priority programs and initiatives.
